Computer Based Instructional Development - EDTC 5153
While all of the courses in the Ed Tech program have helped me grow as an instructor and instructional designer, this course was particularly helpful. Throughout the course we learned the specific strategies and details that would assist in creating dynamic and engaging online learning environments. With my current position, and ones I hope to earn in the future, these concepts are exactly what I needed. I loved the challenge of choosing the right platform for ease of use, while also choosing the right ways to approach the curriculum components. This was definitely a favorite class for me!
As the final project in this class, we were asked to create an online course from the ground up. I chose to concentrate on the needs that teachers have when moving towards a digital focus in their classrooms. This is very applicable to my school district as we are close to being 1:1 in all grades. I recognized the challenges that my teachers are facing and thought this would help to provide the necessary support. I have been able to share this site with several colleagues and it has proven to be a valuable resource. This demonstrates the benefits and level of learning that I achieved in this course.
Below you will find the video walk through of the course that I developed. A link to the actual site is also found below.
