Curriculum Design - CIED 5093

This course was one of the few classes that was not directly part of the Educational Technology department/program.  I felt that it was very applicable and important to my current position and moving forward with my career goals.  Learning to design effective curriculum is the cornerstone of any educational or instructional practice.  This course demonstrated the need for clear objectives, defined outcomes, and careful planning of the processes of instruction and assessment.  Through the information I learned in this course, I feel that my educational materials and teaching practices have gained clarity, rigor and relevance.  This was an excellent course to take as part of my program!

As a culminating activity in this course, we were asked to design a syllabus and accompanying materials for a course of our choice.  I chose to continue with creating materials that would be applicable to the teachers that I serve.
